Living in Pacific Beach
What it’s really like to call Pacific Beach home.
Pacific Beach — "PB" to locals — is San Diego's classic beach town: a three-mile boardwalk, Crystal Pier's cottages over the waves, and Garnet Avenue's restaurants and nightlife.
Move a few blocks away from the busiest streets, though, and PB turns quiet and residential. Crown Point and the streets around Sail Bay offer calm water, bike paths, and some of the best sunset views on Mission Bay — often at lower prices than La Jolla just to the north.
- Crystal Pier, with its historic cottages built right over the ocean.
- Ocean Front Walk connects Pacific Beach to Mission Beach along the sand.
- Kate Sessions Park offers sweeping views over the bay, downtown, and Point Loma.
- Mission Bay's calm water is ideal for paddleboarding, sailing, and kayaking.
